Carol
Veterinary Assistant
With over five years of hands-on experience in veterinary medicine, I began my journey as a veterinary assistant after graduating from Pima Medical Institute in 2020. From the start, I’ve had a deep-rooted passion for animal behavior—a passion that grew from personal experience. I was raised alongside a reactive Jack Russell and a shy, fearful Jack Russell mix, which taught me patience, empathy, and the importance of understanding each animal’s unique emotional needs.
Today, I share my home with four spirited Chihuahuas—Roux, Brie, Mr. Puppers, and Little Miss Peaches—each with their own wonderful personalities and quirks. I also have an older tortoiseshell cat named Serena, who brings the perfect amount of sass to the mix (especially around mealtime). Living with this crew has only strengthened my love for behavior-focused care.
I am a Fear Free Elite Certified Professional, dedicated to creating positive experiences for all patients. I truly believe that going to the doctor shouldn’t be scary—it should be fun! Helping animals feel safe and respected during their visits is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do. I like to say, “I put the treat in treatment!”
Currently, I’m continuing my education to become a licensed veterinary technician, with plans to pursue a specialty in behavior. I’m also deeply passionate about animal nutrition, an often-overlooked aspect of care that deserves more attention and regulation. My mission is to help every animal live their best, healthiest life—emotionally and physically—through compassionate, informed, and individualized care.
Sophie

Sophie’s family swears that she started asking for a dog as soon as she learned to speak. She began showing, grooming and training dogs at 10 years old through the Snohomish County 4H program, and has worked with animals her whole life in various capacities. Now, she spends her time with her 2 beloved boys, Jet the Welsh Springer Spaniel and Bouncer the Beauceron competing in AKC dog shows, hiking, and attending herding training on the weekends.

Jen P
Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist
Jen is a California transplant, who moved to Washington a few years back to escape the everlasting heat of the valley. They have been working in the veterinary field for roughly two years, though their love for animals stretches back to the day they were born. Their favorite part of working in this field is getting to aid the wide range of unique patients that come through our doors. While Jen does not have any pets of their own in Washington just yet, they have a couple of family fur babies back home–a black Labrador mix named Valkyrie, and a chunky tuxedo kitty named Ghost. During their free time, you can find them wandering Mount Rainier and surrounding mountains, tide pooling and rock hounding, and organizing with their community members.
