Make Your Inner Child Proud

Changing lives starts with changing yours. New Layer Our Video

We built Cara because we believe in a different approach to veterinary medicine. One that is all about connection. We are driven by a belief and excitement in helping humanity. Pets are such an integral part of that. They mean so much to us. They change our lives, touch our hearts, and even teach us how to be better people.

Many of our team members have a core memory of wanting to save an animal as a child. That has shaped who they have become. We will protect that flame. We invest in you. With training, education, benefits, and mentorship. With support, teamwork, and an unflinchable belief in you. With everything we do, we will empower you to change the lives of people and pets. And we'll help you make your inner child proud.
Seattle, WA We are located in Roosevelt, a wonderful neighborhood in northern Seattle. Our “Emerald City” was recently ranked as the best place to live for outdoor experiences. The proximity to nature is incredible; whether that means skiing in the mountains or kayaking with orcas. The food scene is unmatched; there are countless amazing and unique local restaurants. The neighborhood is safe, deeply inclusive, and vibrant. This is a wonderful place to call home. Because that’s exactly what you deserve.

Shake things up.

As part of the Cara Veterinary Family, our practice operates from five core principles, or "pillars".

Our Pillars

A small black, brown, and white dog is being held by a person with silver rings on their fingers. The dog, perhaps on its way to the vet, is looking to the side while the person wears a colorful, patterned outfit. A man in a black jacket and blue jeans is smiling while sitting and gently petting a white cat with gray spots on its head. As a veterinarian, he appreciates the calming presence of animals. The cat purrs contentedly on his lap inside a room with wooden panels. Three people, including a veterinarian, are engaged in discussion in a pharmacy setting. Shelves stocked with various medical supplies and products are visible in the background. The individuals are casually dressed and appear to be deep in conversation. A bearded man smiles while gently petting a small dog on the vet's examination table. A woman, in a colorful patterned blouse, holds the dog. The background is a soft teal color, capturing the warm atmosphere of the veterinarian's office. A person kneels down to pet a white and brown cat, which is nuzzling their hand. The setting, reminiscent of a cozy vet's office, features wooden cabinetry and a colorful rug on the floor.

A small black, white, and brown dog is gently held by a person wearing a large ring, perhaps just back from a visit to the vet. The dog looks to the side, and the image is sweetly framed by a heart-shaped border. A person in a black jacket smiles while sitting and petting a white and brown cat on their lap, reminiscent of a caring veterinarian. The scene is framed by a large, green heart outline. In a heart-shaped image, three people stand in a pharmacy setting with shelves of medication behind them. A veterinarian warmly smiles at a customer across the counter. A smiling man with a beard, perhaps a veterinarian, gently pets a small dog standing on the table while chatting with a woman. The heart-shaped scene is framed in a green border, capturing the moment's warmth. A white and brown cat enjoys being petted by a person in dark clothing, crouched on the floor. The scene, reminiscent of a veterinarian’s gentle care, is framed by a green heart shape against a backdrop of wooden elements and a patterned carpet.

A woman gently holds a white and tabby cat on a table while the veterinarian checks the cat's paws. The cat looks upward with a calm expression, set against the backdrop of a blurred workspace. A modern pet grooming shop interior features a vase of greenery next to a counter holding a small sign, treat jars, and a scale. Large windows showcase lush greenery outside, creating an inviting atmosphere akin to a veterinarian's office. The wall has the text "Happy tails!" written vertically. Two women focus intently on a computer screen. The woman on the left has long dark hair and glasses, while the woman on the right, dressed in a green scrub top, looks like a veterinarian. They appear engaged in a discussion or analysis. The modern veterinary clinic reception area boasts a wooden desk, computer, and decorative plants. Large text reading "Welcome!" adorns the walls, while glass doors lead to various rooms. Exposed beams and sleek lighting fixtures accentuate the vet's inviting space. A vet in a green uniform stands next to a white and brown cat on a counter in the veterinary clinic. The cat gazes ahead, with a plant visible in the background.
